Several shots were fired into a crowd in the area of 8th and Arch Streets at
about 2 a.m. but no injures were reported, according to police sources
who added that more gunfire had been reported n the same area one night earlier.
Officers heard the previous incident from inside the nearby Philadelphia Police
Administration Building.
Police investigators circled shell casings in chalk as the crowd dispersed Sunday morning.
Officers had responded to the report of a fight outside the club and the gunman
opened fire while police were on location, according to
6ABC, adding that the
officers chased a suspect north on 7th Street but lost him around Franklin Square.
