Dear Community Stakeholder:

We wanted to take a moment to let you all know that we are hosting an “LOVE4LIFE” Tour throughout Philadelphia. As service organizations, you are well aware of the violence that is holding us hostage in our own neighborhoods. In order to continue accelerating efforts to provide young people and families with support services we need the support of every social service organization and business to join the fight by providing those in need with care. We'd love for each of you to join us in this “Call for Action”!

Gun violence has plagued our neighborhoods, schools and city. Many youth, young adults and adults today, lack the fundamental understanding of how to solve personal problems in public settings. Instead of talking to someone about what is bothering them, most people tend to lash out and get revenge usually through violence. Violence has become one of America's worst worries since 1996, which marks the first school shooting. What causes violence amongst our youth? This would be an easy question to answer if there were only one solution. Therefore, the purpose of this non-violence citywide event is to open the doors of communication on a broader level; to investigate the reasons of violence amongst our citizens, especially our young, and the effects and a tool of prevention.

NSF & WNE created the “THE LOVE4LIFE TOUR” to bring organizations that offer services to parents, youth and families together to empower the residents of Philadelphia with the tools necessary to combat violence and save lives on the streets of Philadelphia.

In our wildest dreams, we never thought we would live to see the day where parents are afraid of their own children nor did we ever think that lack of parenting would be one of the sole issues that violence has plague our neighborhoods. Many parents and care givers are seeking help for troubled situations. This tour will bring support through collaborations for parents, youth and family. Our goal is to partnered with organizations to bring various services to inner-city families in need.

The “LOVE4LIFE TOUR” is a “A Call to Action” through a united front of organizations throughout Philadelphia to hit the streets to save lives. We need your support and participation in reaching the residents and youth in our communities. This project is designed to interact heavily during the summer months when our crimes rates reach higher numbers. The tour starts in June, 2013

Let every organization know, whether it wishes us success or not, that we shall go any length, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any family, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival of lives on the Street of Philadelphia This much we pledge—and more.
Please join the fight. Complete and submit the form attached and become a Member of the Philadelphia “LOVE4LIFE TOUR”2013.

In Health, Paythia

CeaseFirePA needs your HELP!

Dear Paythia,
How many times do we have to see commonsense legislation held up in the Senate? You would think the loss of innocent children and support from 90% of Americans for universal background checks would be enough. The ugly truth is, it isn’t.
The NRA has intimidated, thrown money at and flat out purchased enough of Congress to stifle even the most modest gun violence prevention legislation.

Enough is enough. We are raising a record $10,000 in the next 2 hours. Your contribution of $35, $100 or $250 will help end this NRA hold up!
The NRA does not represent the vast majority of Americans - even the majority of gun owners. The NRA is backed by the country's largest gun manufacturers and they have deep pockets.

But we have you. We can’t write a $1 million dollar check to get our way, but together we can make sure we have the resources to hold these NRA sponsored legislators accountable for their records.
Universal background checks will keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them. We know that this is the right thing to do, but there is a very real chance the Senate won’t pass even the most basic protections against gun violence.

Time is running out!

Can we count on you for a $35, $100, or $250 contribution in the next 2 hours?

Together we can make history.
To Victory,
Shira Goodman
