I was never one for harsh punishments or the death penalty but with the violence the way it is and the total disregard that these people have for life....lets just say ....if they find it so easy to take a life..... then why should anyone consider their life too sacred to take. Wow, there I said it and in a million years I never thought those words would come out of my mouth. I believe that many people are starting to have mixed feelings especially those who have lost someone to violence. We have third world countries that believe in firing squads..... hmmm do you think if we had that in the US and anyone who commits a crime with a gun would be sentence to die by the gun..... meaning the firing squad that the violence would be less than what it is now? You know it's that you live by it you die by it whole scenerio.....Just wondering! But feel free to add your 2cents........

Shooter Opens Fire on 2 Homes, Hits Sleeping Man
Police say the gunman fired at least 17 shots from a playground across the street.
NBC10, Tim Furlong
Police say the shooter fired his rifle from a playground across the street. They say he fired at least 17 shots at two homes.
One man was shot while sleeping in bed overnight in the Wynnefield section of the city.
Police say that just before 2 a.m. Friday, the gunman fired at least 17 shots at two homes on the corner of 53rd and Euclid. They say the shots were fired from a playground across the street.
The weapon of choice, authorities believe, was an AR-15, a high-powered assault rifle.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is in stable condition.
"The fact that there's 15 people [living in the homes] and only one was struck is pretty fortunate for the other 14...At this point we believe he is a totally innocent victim," Philadelphia Police Inspector Scott Small said.
Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Philadelphia Police.
