Safety Everett Gillison will discuss the city’s comprehensive efforts to reduce crime. According to a press release, there will be an “emphasis on reducing violence and deaths among African-American men and boys.” On Wednesday, WHYY’s Radio Times presented “Tackling crime in Philadelphia,” a conversation on succesful strategies, with Philadelphia Police First Deputy Commissioner Richard Ross, Jerry Ratcliffe from Temple University, Bryan Lentz of the District Attorney’s Gun Violence Task Force, and Rasheed Smith, who works with Philadelphia CeaseFire.
