Police said they rushed two teenage boys, ages 15 and 16, to Temple University Hospital,
where they were both reported in stable condition after they were shot in a gas station
parking lot at Germantown Avenue and Hunting Park Avenue.

The 16-year-old was shot in the back and the 15-year-old suffered a foot wound, police said.
According to investigators, the victims were attending sweet sixteen party at a nearby catering
 hall before they were shot.

UPDATE: A third victim — another 15-year-old boy — arrived at Children’s Hospital
of Philadelphia in a private vehicle with graze wounds to both legs, according to later reports
from CBS3 and NBC10.

Several YouTube users were recording the fireworks in Philadelphia Thursday night when something went wrong.

Voices could be heard screaming “hold me” and “I love you” as panicked revelers tore through the crowd during the Fourth of July display on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
Hundreds of people shared social media posts Friday, reporting gunfire and a human stampede, although no shooting victims were reported.

Media reports quote city officials suggesting that a person with a firecracker or a BB gun incited the disturbance but similar episodes were reported in 2011 and in 2012, when a police officer shot and wounded a gun suspect on the edge of the crowd.

This compilation of YouTube reports shows police responding and the crowd dispersing while others picked up their trampled belongings.
