You know what I'm TIRED of?

The disrespect of our President! NOT because he is an Incompetent PRESIDENT But because he is a BLACK PRESIDENT! Some REPUBLICANS think that it's their right to outright display their loathe for a man they don't believe should be the HEAD of this Country! Well, in the words of President Lyndon B. Johnson's' "WE SHALL OVERCOME".....WE DID! LIKE IT OR NOT.... A BLACK MAN BY THE NAME OF BARACK OBAMA IS THE "LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD" & DON'T GET IT TWISTED I DON'T CARE WHAT SURVEYS YOU CONCOCT, WE, BLACK PEOPLE WILL ONLY LET YOU GO SO FAR...TEARING HIM DOWN IS LIKE TEARING DR. MARTIN K. KING "DREAM" TO SMITHEREENS!

It’s time to get over it and move on!

And on another topic, In January we are gearing up to Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.(January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) He was an American pastor, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.

I'm not sure who thought of the idea to turn his honorary day into a day of beautifying our communities instead of educating both young and old on our history ESPECIALLY, due to the small number of voters who are at the polls on election days, and all the RACISM we are facing today,I truly believe we need to start educating people on our struggles, strives and accomplishments of the past and the struggles, strives, and opportunities for the present to lay a stronger foundation for our future. If we DON'T....HISTORY WILL REPEAT ITSELF & OUR CHILDREN AND OUR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN WILL BE FIGHTING THESE SAME BATTLES!

Dr. M. L. King in his "I HAD A DREAM" Speech stated and I quote, "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." Bottom line is his DREAM CAME TRUE! WE ELECTED A YOUNG AT HEART, INTELLIGENT BLACK MAN AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! HE IS ALL OF OUR LEADER!

I only wonder would he be very DISAPPOINTED in US as a RACE and as a NATION for the HOMICIDES, SEPARATION, DYSFUNCTION & DISRESPECT we have allowed in the BLACK COMMUNITIES!

So, together 'LET'S DEMAND RESPECT" FOR OUR LEADER & OURSELVES!!!!!

#ALLLIVESMATTER!

 We have much work to do to address illegal shootings in our country. Whether the focus is on police brutality and misconduct; gun crimes; black on black shootings and homicides or domestic gun violence. 

So many times the topic of my conversations have been where do the responsibility lie? We are all aware that families like to keep secrets for each other. So you have to wonder do family members see the hidden gun in their home? Are they aware of the crimes (he) is committing in the city? Do they ask themselves if he is not working then how do he have new clothes, new sneaks, or money in his pockets?

If #BlackLivesMatter, really matter, then we need to protect them even if it means protecting them from themselves. We cannot in good conscious say that #BlackLivesMatter and not give a hoot about the lives our kin folks harm or murder!  

All I know is that everyday I wake up it's like part of the norm to see who got killed during the night. And for the past few years it has become habit to keep up with the news on shootings throughout the day.

I believe we need to get better at taking care of our own families and neighborhoods and to stop waiting until after something happens...prevention methods save lives....lives matter!
