Three teens among latest shooting victims across Philadelphia region



    Kyle James, 19, was shot and killed shortly before midnight Tuesday in Camden, NJ. The Courier-Post has a video report:

    A city teenager was gunned down late Tuesday near an area some residents 
    call the darkest block in Camden.

    Isiah Williams, 19, of Willingboro, NJ, was reported in critical condition after a shooting in Bristol, PA, according to phillyburbs.com:

Later this morning at City Hall, Philadelphia Deputy Mayor for Public
Safety Everett Gillison will discuss the city’s comprehensive efforts to reduce crime.
According to a press release, there will be an “emphasis on reducing violence and deaths
among African-American men and boys.”

On Wednesday, WHYY’s Radio Times presented “Tackling crime in Philadelphia,”
a conversation on succesful strategies, with Philadelphia Police First Deputy
Commissioner Richard Ross, Jerry Ratcliffe from Temple University,  Bryan Lentz of the District Attorney’s Gun Violence Task Force, and Rasheed Smith, who works with Philadelphia CeaseFire.
