According to investigators, police responded to a radio call for gunshots around 1 a.m. and
found a man with a single gunshot wound to the head on North 27th Street near West Sterner Street.

Medics pronounced the victim dead on location. Police said that he appeared to be in his 40s.
Below, Officer Greg Giacomelli watches over a dog at the scene, which police found tied to a fence
and believed may have belonged to the victim. Police were in contact with the Philadelphia Animal Care
and Control Association.

At around the same time, another man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder arrived up at 

Temple University Hospital, reporting that he had been shot at 27th and Dauphin Streets.

 Police said the victim was in stable condition.

At about midnight, police reported a woman with a graze wound to the stomach at 24th and Edgely
Streets in North Philadelphia. Three fired shell casing were located at the scene but the victim refused
 medical treatment police said.
Another shooting victim was being treated at Hahnemann University Hospital, following an incident
reported overnight at 7th and Huntingdon Streets.

Police told NBC10 that a teen was shot and killed in a drive-by incident in the Overbrook section of the city
Saturday. Family members told them Tremaine Rogers, 18, was shot behind their home when a car pulled
up and someone opened fire.

The incident happened about 4 p.m. at the 900 block of N. 64th Street, according to CBS3. Police told them
that the victim was shot once in the chest.

Another man is dead after a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia on Saturday morning, according
to a CBS3 report. Police told them that a man in his 20s was shot several times in the chest at about
7:15 a.m. on the 2000 block of Simpson Street and later pronounced dead at the Hospital of the
University of Pennsylvania.
