I agree! The issues our nation is having with Violence should not be just upon politicians to find solutions. The village in this case are parents, residents, community organizations, social service and businesses. And lets not forget the churches...hmmm
- These people committing these crimes are the children of someone. Parents must take the lead because the bottom line is these are you children doing the killing and these are you children being killed. The accountability system must come into play some kind of way.
- Residents should be just as much involved knowing that a bullet can strike you at any time walking down the street, in you home or while you are out shopping. Community engagement is a vital ingredient in factoring solution!
- Grassroot Organizations especially the ones getting the funding must keep your word or contract in this matter to do what you say your going to do and for all the community organizations who are not getting funding and doing just as much as the ones who are then the powers that be need to evaluate their giving process and procedures and take notice!
- Businesses- you make money in our city then this problems is just as much yours and it is ours. Every corner store should be tied to an organization to give back!
- Social Service organizations also need to be in the forefront on the issue of violence. Especially those of you who are visiting their children at home and know something ain't right!
- And the now the churches...First of all, the government needs to have stricter rules on approving these churches as non profits when the don't even come out in the community to make a difference. And no, the community is not your members because and I guessing the ones with the issues or guns in their hands 10 times out of 10 is not attending your church. Be FORREAL!
And to all the people and organizations who are doing your part....WE COMMEND YOU!
Coming @ you and not holding back...
