Bail Reform Moves Forward in Senate Jud Cmte

Dear New Solutions Campaign Supporters,

As you know, the Assembly Judiciary Committee recently held an informational hearing on bail reform where many of your spoke about New Jersey’s broken system and the need for comprehensive reform.  Please be advised, yesterday, the Senate Judiciary Committee reported Senate Bill 946/Assembly Bill 1910 out of committee, referring it to the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee for consideration.  This important legislation will establish non-monetary bail alternatives for release. Special thanks to those of you that traveled to Trenton in support of this bill on such short notice!  As this bill continues to move through the legislative process, please stay tuned for ways in which you can continue to help ensure fair and fiscally responsible solutions are implemented!
